The Financial Planning and Readiness for the Single Assessment System in Aged Care workshop (1:00pm - 3:00pm) will guide you through adapting financial strategies for the upcoming reforms, including budgeting for new funding models and technology integration.

 

The Aged Care Compliance: Navigating the New Aged Care Act workshop (3:30pm - 5:00pm) will focus on ensuring compliance with the new Aged Care Act, the Support at Home Program, and the Single Assessment System, helping you develop proactive compliance plans and avoid penalties.

Financial Planning and Readiness for the Single Assessment System in Aged Care

Workshop Overview:
This workshop will equip aged care providers with the tools and strategies needed to effectively budget for upcoming reforms and prepare for the integration of the Single Assessment System (SAS).

Participants will gain practical insights into how to adapt their financial strategies to accommodate the new system, including adjusting funding models, streamlining care assessments, and ensuring sustainability under the Support at Home Program.

Workshop Structure:
 Introduction and Overview (15 minutes)
•    Overview of the Single Assessment System (SAS) and its impact on aged care providers.
•    Discussion of the Support at Home Program and how it will affect funding, service delivery, and operations.


2. Financial Planning for Reform (30 minutes)

o    Understanding new funding structures under the SAS
o    Preparing for changes in the assessment and payment systems

Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of their legal obligations, including the integration of the Support at Home program and the Single Assessment System, and will learn practical strategies to ensure compliance while avoiding penalties.

  • To identify the compliance obligations for aged care providers, including those related to the Support at Home program.

  • To learn about the criminal penalties associated with non-compliance and how to mitigate these risks.

  • To develop a proactive compliance plan for integrating new systems and maintaining ongoing compliance.
